Updates on how we’re responding to the COVID-19 crisis

To being with, everyone in the world is suffering the COVID-19 crisis.  The management team of Smart Data Institute Limited (SDi) is supporting our employees, customers and the society with different actions with the help of our small but energetic team together.

  1. What we are doing for employees
    • We are keeping our staff benefits unchanged even facing a significant impact of new business including annual bonus and original salary package.
    • We are offering personal protection stuff like masks, antibacterial hand sanitizer.
    • We are trying to minimize our staff onsite visits to clients and giving choices for staff work-from-home
    • We are investing virtual team engagement tools for staff communication.
    • We enhanced cleaning at our computer lab and office.
  2. What we are doing for clients
    • We enhanced our remote support tools with different choices for clients including Microsoft Teams, WebEx, Zoho Meetings and Zoom
    • We are providing onsite support for clients if being requested. (NOTE: however, we do provide necessary personal protection gear for our staff before going onsite)
    • We enhanced cleaning at our computer lab and office.
    • We arrange virtual meetings and onsite visits.
    • We provide and share our computer lab resources with clients for development and testing.
  3. What we are doing for communities
    • We are donating hundreds of masks to the root-grass.
    • We are donating our old computers to children studying at home remotely.

 

Updates

Sep 2020 – work on the developments on new courses to help the improvements on the Data Science standard for the greater China area.

Aug 2020 – provide non-office hour support for a government department as a critical environment during the peak of COVID-19 new cases.

Jul 2020 – start the building of an online processional training portal together with our sister companies

Jun 2020 – purchase Zoho Meetings for the concerns of security in Zoom

May 2020 – donate computers to poor family for their kids to study at home.

Apr 2020 – donate masks to a charity organization for sharing with root-grass people in Shamshuipo

Mar 2020 – deliver staff annual bonus

Feb 2020 – release technical support portal v2.0 (https://raise2support.com)

Feb 2020 – allow staff starting WFH
